Kelp Monkey are a San Francisco Bay Area band creating original musical meditations inspired by genres spanning rock, folk, alternative, and beyond. Acoustic and electric sounds are weaved together with tight vocal harmonies reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel, rock songs harking to the sounds of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, and modern classic vibes honoring influences like The Shins and Radiohead. Live performances consisting of originals and classic crowd pleasing covers. At its very heart, and by intent, the project is versatile and ever-evolving. Born through the alliance and friendship of 2 singer songwriter musicians, Joe Morishige and Jacey Beaucage the project continues to thrive.
